Ten things that will drive you crazy during game design.

For those of us who love games, there is nothing better than designing, developing and publishing games them. The thrill of seeing others enjoy your game is matched only by the thrill of holding that newly published hardback book in your hand and thinking, "I did this."

However, there are trials and tribulations along the way. Here are ten, I'm sure you'll be able to add more!

10. Losing a table you know you've already done.

9. Finding that lost table and realising it is wrong.

8. Trying to please everyone with weapon effects.

7. Asking writers and artists for submissions.

6. Doing dice maths. Then doing it again and getting different results.

5. Trying to remember why, 6 months earlier, you decided that a night in a hotel costs 6 gold pieces when 6 months rent is also 6 gold pieces.

4. Answering questions from play testers which begin, "In D&D they do this ... Why don't you do the same?"

3. Getting an email from your distributer reminding you that you are 6 months beyond the original publication date.

2. When someone says, after your passionate description of your game, "Ok, so basically it's Cthulhu with robots."

1. That as soon as you're finished, you know it's not as good as it should be.

So, let's see what she drives us crazy. Post your pet hates below!
